Terms of Service
The rules for using our WhatsApp chat records and voice message transcription: payments, balance, accuracy, acceptable use and liability.

These terms apply when you use LogMyChat at logmychat.com (the "Service"). By using it you agree to them.
1. What the Service does
The Service reads a WhatsApp chat export in your browser, shows an overview, and, for a chat you unlock, builds a dated and searchable record with its voice messages transcribed. LogMyChat is independent and is not affiliated with WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc.
2. Your account
You need an account to unlock a chat. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
3. Payment and balance
- The price of a chat depends on its size (messages and minutes of voice) and is shown before you pay.
- Payments are one-time, in US dollars. There is no subscription.
- Our order process is run by our online reseller Creem (creem.io), the merchant of record for all our orders. Creem takes the payment, handles sales tax or VAT, and sends your receipt. Prices already include any tax.
- What you pay becomes a balance in your account. Unlocking a chat spends its price from that balance. A balance is not cash: it cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and it does not expire while the Service runs.
- If you bring the same chat again and it has grown into a bigger size, you pay only the difference.
4. Refunds
See our refund policy. In short: if we cannot deliver what you paid for, tell us within 7 days.
5. Accuracy of transcripts
Speech-to-text is automatic. Quality depends on the recording, accents, background noise and overlapping voices, and mistakes happen. Check a transcript against the original recording before you rely on it or quote it. Dates and times are copied from your export as WhatsApp wrote them (your phone's local time).
6. Not legal advice
The Service produces a convenience copy of your own chat. It is not legal advice and we do not certify, authenticate or guarantee that a record will be accepted by a court, a lawyer or any authority. Keep your original export.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- only bring chats you have a lawful right to use;
- not use the Service to harass, stalk or monitor anyone, or to process content that is illegal;
- not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the Service, or get around its limits or payments.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules. The Acceptable Use Policy has the full list.
8. Your content
Your chats and records remain yours. You give us permission to process them only to provide the Service to you, as described in the privacy policy. You can delete them at any time.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted. We may change or discontinue features; if we shut the Service down, we will give notice so you can download your records.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is", and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and tell signed-in users before it applies.
